We know that dental health is an important factor in overall health, and we take our job as oral health educators seriously so that our patients can live their healthiest lives. This means performing oral health exams, taking x-rays when needed, and staying up-to-date with our patients’ histories. We use digital x-rays and intraoral cameras to produce images within seconds, so we can show patients the inside of their mouths while we work together on treatment options. Our staff focuses heavily on continuing education, so we know that we’re offering the highest standard of care for every patient.
We are proud to serve families in the South San Jose area and beyond, and many of our staff have known our patients for more than two decades. For those coming in for regular checkups and cleanings, we take the time to look at the whole picture of overall health and incorporate preventive action. We leave ample time for every appointment to ensure the cleaning is done thoroughly and any questions or concerns are able to be addressed. And with complimentary Wi-Fi as well as heating and massage in our chairs, your comfort is our top priority.
At Ghadiri Comprehensive Dentistry, it brings us joy to treat our patients’ entire families. We know that life goes on outside of your teeth, and we work together with patients of all ages to find the best care plan to fit every stage of life, including pediatric dentistry. Taking a whole-person approach to children’s oral health, we focus on educating our young patients to ensure long-lasting oral hygiene habits are made now. Here, all of our patients are family.
We’ve always seen the mouth as the gateway to overall health. It’s important to us that our patients understand the warning signs of periodontal disease, which can lead to more serious conditions if not properly treated. Periodontal disease-causing bacteria often presents as inflammation of the gums and loss of bone around the teeth. We offer a variety of periodontal services including laser treatments, scaling and root planing, ultrasonic cleaning, pocket reduction, soft tissue, grafts, crown lengthening, and bone regeneration to help our patients both prevent periodontal issues and mitigate symptoms earlier.
When the pulp-filled cavity in the root of a tooth becomes infected or inflamed, root canal treatment may be necessary. At Ghadiri Comprehensive Dentistry, we do our best to exhaust all other treatments for an infection before recommending a root canal procedure, and it is done as a last resort to save the tooth from extraction. We have years of experience performing root canals for our patients in South San Jose, and we know they can cause anxiety for some. We walk our patients through each step of the process, ensuring they are as comfortable and relaxed as possible.
Together, we have years of clinical training and practice with oral surgery, including extraction. Patients might need tooth extraction because of decay, breakage, overcrowding, or gum disease, but most commonly we extract wisdom teeth. When wisdom teeth emerge through the gums, they may come in at an angle, cause problems to our surrounding teeth, or increase the risk of infection. We monitor your wisdom teeth early in their development with digital x-rays and work with you to determine if the wisdom teeth should be removed.
For patients suffering from snoring or obstructive sleep apnea, Ghadiri Comprehensive Dentistry offers custom mouthguard fitting. Also called snore guards, these are worn at night to prevent the tongue base from falling back into the throat during sleep. Snore guards can dramatically improve a patient’s sleep quality, their family’s sleep quality, and their overall health and wellness. If you suffer from obstructive sleep apnea or experience disruptive snoring, call our office to schedule a custom fitting.
Teeth grinding, or bruxism, can be caused by a variety of factors like stress, anxiety, or sleep apnea. This can lead to headaches and even teeth chipping or cracking. If you grind your teeth during sleep or you are experiencing some of these symptoms, a grinding guard might help you find relief. Grinding guards create a physical barrier between the upper and lower jaw to protect the teeth, even out the pressure across the jaw, and reduce grinding noises at night. We will help you find the perfect fit to help you sleep better at night and feel better throughout the day.
